The content of this training course is designed specifically for learners who are new to electrification and domestic EV charging points. It is envisaged that this will be an accredited course from Q3 2022.

The course is designed to cover the installation requirements of domestic EV charging equipment highlighting the guidance, knowledge and understanding on the electrical requirements.
With the UK Government announcing in 2021, that in order to help reduce carbon emissions further, all new homes in England from 2022 will need to be fitted with electric vehicle charging points.
Training course content will focus upon:
Introduction to Electric Vehicles.
Code of Practice.
Electric Vehicle Charging Landscape.
Arrangements Prior to Installation.
Physical Installation Requirements.
Electrical Installation Requirements.
General Requirements for Circuit Design, Cable Specification and Dimension.
Risk Assessment.
Inspection, Testing and Certification.
